Michael Jackson Vienna tributeconcert

postponeduntil 2010

Gig will now take place in London rather than Vienna

A Vienna tribute concert for Michael Jackson has been postponed until 2010, and moved to London, organisers have confirmed. The concert, originally due to take place at Schönbrunn castle on September 26, had already been dealt a blow after scheduled performers including Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown allegedly dropped out. Event promoter Georg Kindel has now confirmed that the gig in Vienna has been cancelled and will instead take place at an unnamed London location in June 2010. "It was very difficult to put up the show, which normally needs six months," Kindel said, reports AFP. "Due to this fact, we decided to reschedule the event for the first half of June 2010, but not in Vienna, in London." Jackson passed away on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest. The self-styled king of pop's brother Jermaine was scheduled to appear at the Vienna gig, which organisers hoped would attract 65,000 fans to Schönbrunn castle
